Vintage Description:

The wine starts off with some reduction that is quite apparent at this young age, but it should nonetheless carry the wine forward to evolve slowly and with care. This wine is a tribute to Herbert Tiefenbrunner, who did great pioneering work and whose great passion and pride was his Müller-Thurgau vom Fenner. The Fennberg (Fenner) is an exposed site at 1,000 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest vineyards in South Tyrol.

Vinification:
After a short maceration period, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented half in large wooden barrels and half in concrete tanks without the addition of selected yeasts.
