    Vintage Description:

    Dark ruby, purple reflections, broader ochre lightening on the rim. Delicate old wood spice, vanilla, tobacco, dark berries and some caramel.     The grapes come from the Stiftsbreite vineyard at an altitude of 220 meters with southern exposure.

    Alluvial gravel soil with brown earth

    The physiologically very ripe grapes are harvested in October.

    Vinification:

    4 weeks maceration time.

    Ageing:

    18 months in small wooden barrels, long ageing on the fine lees. (50% Klosterneuburg oak, 50% French oak).
