Weinhof Platzer

The winegrowing region is called "Steirisches Vulkanland" and it is famous for its excellent geological and climatic conditions, which make it possible to produce white and red wines of premium quality. For years the head of the company, Manfred Platzer, has been making a considerable number of wines and the quality level is still increasing steadily, which goes hand in hand with technical innovation in the production and accuracy of vineyard work. The range of wines available contains a number of typical Styrian specialities like Welschriesling, Muskateller, Pinot blanc, Rheinriesling and Gewürztraminer (The best Gewürztraminers of the world are pressed in this area!), but also wines of international character like Chardonnay and Pinot gris, partly in Barriques and excellent reds like Zweigelt and Saint Laurent. The aim and the philosophy of the winery is producing wines at high level quality; our motto is "quality goes before quantity". A rigorous limitation of quantities in the vineyards and uncompromising care of the wines guarantee the greatest pleasure for the consumer of our wines.
