The Waldschütz winery is located in Strass-Elsarn, at the beginning of the Kamptal. This idyllic region along the Kamp River gives its name to a significant wine-growing area, which combines so many advantages that it is rightly considered one of the most exciting in Austria.
For four generations, the secrets of winemaking have been passed down from father to son, creating a special connection to this land and the fruits it produces.
Since 2023, Markus Waldschütz, a trained viticulturist and cellar master, has been leading the 35-hectare family winery. After more than 35 years, Reinhard Waldschütz has handed over the family business to the next generation.
Together with his family, Markus Waldschütz succeeds year after year in producing natural, fruity-fresh wines that are typical of the region. The range includes Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, and Weissburgunder.
