Château Miraval has been the home of great men since ancient times. Thomas Aquinas and the Prince of Naples lived within its pastel-coloured walls, as did Jacques Loussier. The famous French jazz pianist revolutionised the time-honoured château in the 1970s: he had a recording studio set up where all the great rock legends were guests. In 2008, this magical place captured the heart of Brad Pitt, who decided to buy the property together with his then wife Angelina Jolie. He immediately began modernisation work and sought advice and help from the legendary top winemaker Marc Perrin, owner of the famous Château Beaucastel.
The stony vineyard terraces are not far from the village of Correns, which was the first French village to switch completely to natural viticulture. A beautiful piece of land that produces impressive wines.
The 600 hectares of land around Château Miraval consist of a mixture of forests, fields and olive groves, with 60 hectares of excellently tended, organically cultivated vineyards in the middle.
