Best vineyard sites in four different wine-growing locations, one of Austria's most fascinating cellars, an unbroken winegrowing tradition for almost 900 years, and an uncompromising commitment to quality are the characteristics of Stift Klosterneuburg Winery. Since its founding in 1114, Stift Klosterneuburg has been engaged in winemaking, making it the oldest winery in Austria. With a vineyard area of 108 hectares, it is one of the largest estates in the country. Centuries of experience, careful vineyard management in harmony with nature, and openness to new ideas result in top-quality wines year after year. With a deliberate focus on local grape varieties, gentle processing, and careful aging of the wines in the unique climate of the Klosterneuburg Monastery Cellar, the aim is to produce authentic wines with character. It is Austria's first climate-neutral winery and a pioneer in terms of sustainability and climate protection. Wolfgang Hamm has been serving as the winery director for years, and since the beginning of 2023, Peter Philipp has been leading the cellar team at Stift Klosterneuburg.
